Dano
Dano creates vivid, unapologetic portraits of queer bodies—primarily nudes—using bold watercolor and digital media as tools for healing, reclamation, and self-expression. Through negative space and evolving brushwork, he invites viewers into co-authorship, encouraging connection with the divine self beyond ego or shame.
Centering authenticity, his work celebrates the nude form as sacred, while his daily nude tarot readings and witchy rituals keep one foot firmly in the mystical.
Artist’s statement
Dano paints luminous, unapologetic portraits of queer bodies—primarily nudes—in bold, vivacious watercolor. Through intentional negative space, he invites viewers to co-create meaning, leaving room for imagination and personal narrative. His work is rooted in the belief that artistic self-expression can be a tool for healing trauma and reclaiming queer identity.
Authenticity is at the heart of everything Dano creates. By celebrating the nude form, he encourages both models and viewers to connect with their divine higher selves—free from shame, ego, or social constraints. The body becomes sacred, observed through the unbiased gaze of the outsider’s eye.
Dano’s style is fluid, adapting as his relationship with the brush shifts over time. In digital media, he continues to explore themes of identity, embodiment, and queerness from new angles. Outside the studio, he practices daily nude tarot readings and indulges in the kind of witchy rituals that would’ve had him burned at the stake in another era—and possibly still raise eyebrows today.
